I ♥ Faces "Hands On Fun" Photo Challenge

I chose this picture for this week's challenge because it truly is hands on fun for this young man. This was one of my favorite shoots. This boy loves the outdoors and loves to catch frogs. We did the shoot along a creek and he was so proud to catch this frog... just for me! I had to get a picture of him holding it. It was actually a pretty frog :-)

I ♥ Faces "fix it fridays"

Every Friday i heart faces posts a random photo and you have the opportunity to edit the photo how you would if it were one you took yourself. I look forward to doing these every week (as long as I have time). This week, I'm not going to lie, this image was really hard! I did so much to this image that it would be very confusing to explain everything in detail. To sum it up, I corrected the levels and the white balance by going into Curves. I then added a little fill flash to the face, sharpened and smoothed it in different areas to improve the quality. I used the edge photoshop action by Kubota, added some saturation to make the colors pop a little on the outfit, and finally added a little texture and bokeh to the background.

I ♥ Faces fix it fridays

I love I ♥ Faces fix it Fridays! A lot of time goes into post processing that this gives me the opportunity to share how I approach the process by taking a random image that i heart faces posts on their site and "fixing it".

To edit this image, I opened it into Photoshop and first cropped it how I imagined it to look. After cropping, I opened up the curves and used the white doppler to select my white point and whitened the whites. I then adjusted the RED and BLUE curves. After the coloring was how I wanted it, I opened up my Kubota actions and sharpened the image and smoothed it in areas. The second image I added a flora bella texture to it and erased some off of the girls skin.

Normally I like to show my images without a lot of extra trendy post processing affects to them, but this time I thought I would try out a few new actions/textures just to see how they looked.

Chelsey & Brock

These two were such a pleasure to shoot. They're just beautiful. Brock was very interested in my camera so I took some of him with his. He wore his special photographer outfit just for this session. Too cute!
